Climate change seems to be the one of the greatest challenges of the 21st Century. It will drastically affect living beings in multiple ways. And it seems to be almost uncontrollable in the near future. Our knowledge of the chemistry of climate change and its causes, consequences are far greater than our understanding of the societal changes it poses. Climatic conditions play a significant role with people's lives in many ways. The causes are due to undesirable human activities. With climate change, the risk of conflicts, disasters and internal displacement increases inequalities and poverty. In addition to these expected impacts in the most diverse social, cultural, economic and environmental sectors, human health has emerged as an important area of considerable alarm. It is expected that the impact of climate change on human health will be severe, both in the proliferation and incidence of diseases. Moreover, climate change will have extensive implications to human wellbeing, which will reflect on social structures and life style.
The number of forest fire has increased in the past few years due to global warming. In India almost all states except Rajasthan and Gujarat are influenced by heat waves. If the ambient temperature is above our body skin temperature, we can’t lose heat by convection and hence we begin to sweat. This enables us to lose heat by evaporation.
People in developed countries may be able to survive heat waves by using A/c but this luxury will not be possible to most poor people working in agriculture and steel industry workers. Therefore, the climate change issue will be considered as very serious issue today. We have to find a possible way to overcome this issue.
